compresspng.net makes PNG files small. Drop one in and the palette-based compressor typically takes 60–80% off a screenshot, logo or diagram with no visible change — or switch to lossless mode when not a single pixel may move.
If you are fighting an upload limit, name the target size and the tool works down to it. If the file is really a photograph in the wrong format, convert it to JPEG and watch it collapse. Everything here is free, with no watermark and no account.
Pick the right tool for your PNG
Use the main compressor for everyday shrinking, lossless when the image must not change at all, compress to a size when a form is rejecting your file, and resize when the image is simply larger than it is displayed. Photographs almost always want PNG to JPG instead.
Honest expectations
No compressor can shrink every PNG. Files that were already optimised have nothing left to remove, and a photographic PNG will never reach JPEG sizes while staying a PNG. Where this tool does shine is the ordinary case: screenshots, exports from design tools, logos, icons, charts and UI captures, where 60–80% comes off without anyone being able to tell.
